Manual Commissions

Overview

As discussed in Automatic Commissions for Orders, commissions are automatically generated for orders based on the reps, alignments and rules set up for your collections.

However, Velocity offers the flexibility of manually adjusting these commission amounts, deleting them or even creating new commissions.

Creating Commissions New commissions can be created for any order, even if it doesn't already have any existing commissions generated for it.

Here, we wish to add a new commission for an order that already had commissions automatically generated by Velocity.

To add a new commission, simply navigate to the order in Shopify and select the New Commission button.

In the Create Commission dialog, we are free to add commission for a rep that was not even commissioned in the original order.

Editing Commissions

To edit an existing commission, select the edit icon in the commission row.

In the Update Commission dialog, you are now free to edit any of the following fields:

• Commissionable Collection
• Level
• Rep
• Commission (rate or amount)

Here, we changed the commission rate for James Carter to 2%.

Once the changes are saved, we can now see the new commission amounts updated in the list.

Note

You can set either the commission rate or the amount. If the percentage rate is adjusted, the amount will adjust accordingly, and vise versa.

Deleting Commissions

To delete a commission, simply select the delete icon for the commission you wish to delete.

A dialog will appear requesting delete confirmation.

Select Submit to confirm and the commission will be deleted from the list.
