Velocity for Shopify is a comprehensive suite of applications designed to enhance Shopify for growing businesses. What is Velocity: Commission Maps?¶
Velocity: Commission Maps is the first module of the Velocity suite available for Shopify, bringing the powerful territory and commission management capabilities of our Enterprise solution to Shopify merchants. As the Velocity suite expands, you'll have access to additional modules that work seamlessly together to solve your most challenging business operations needs.

Core Features¶
Understanding the main components of Velocity will help you get the most out of the app:
- Territory Management lets you create detailed maps of your sales territories, from broad regional divisions down to specific ZIP codes. Intuitive tools for geography selection help you quickly map your sales territories.
- Commission Rules work hand-in-hand with your Shopify product collections. You can set different commission rates and rules for different product types, ensuring your sales team receives the right compensation for each sale. For instance, you might want to offer a higher commission rate for your premium product line compared to your standard offerings, or pay a flat rate commission on some products, while offering a percentage commission on others.
- Automated Calculations eliminate the need for manual commission calculations at the end of each period. Once your territories and rules are set up, Velocity automatically processes all orders and calculates commissions based on your predetermined rules.

To make the most of Velocity, you'll want to have these things ready:
- A clear understanding of your sales territory structure
- Your product collections organized in Shopify
- A list of your sales team members and their assigned territories
