Emails

Velocity generates emails to notify customers, reps, and internal users about certain events, or to deliver data via the reporting system. Some emails are handled by BigCommerce instead. Below is a breakdown of each type of email communication.

Customer account creation Customer Customer account is created by a Velocity user Only sent by the "Send an invitation" option
Only sent if the customer-facing storefront is visible
Order receipt Customer Order is placed (by the customer or by a Velocity user) Disabled by default

Manual payment receipt Customer Manual payment is made by a Velocity user Only sent if user chooses to send
Subscription installment reminders Customer Automatically sent three days prior to a subscription installment
Failed subscription installment List of users Daily list of failed subscription installments Only sent to a configurable list of users
Overdue terms report List of users Daily list of overdue terms orders Only sent to a configurable list of users
Rep order approval Commissioned reps Order approval Only sent to commissioned reps with a configured email address
Rep order shipment created Commissioned reps Shipment is made Only sent to commissioned reps with a configured email address
